For myself, i say Photoshop. I have Photoshop 7 and CS2 and they are great programs. The staff of Adobe are genious'. All of em.

Not much difference in any of em to me. At least from Seven and up... Just added filters, modes, etc.

Yes, I agree with you. They charge what 400-700 bucks for a few new features. Indeed it is a rip.

I would say Paint Shop Pro But thats the only thing I've used. I used the Free Trial of it Before (if you were on AG when I posted some of my graphics) but thats all I've really tried so I would have to go with PSP

Photoshop, I first started designing with PSP and couldn't get the results, switched to photoshop, and now im at least somewhere where my graphics are decent.

I started with PSP, couldn't find good tutorials and switched to Photoshop. It really depends on how well you use the program. In some aspects, believe it or not, PSP is better.

This thread is really old, but it's still relevent ... Photoshop easy, it's way more flexible and theirs more tuts, so it's easier to learn.
